Everytime you hear people talk about their dreams and goals in life they say things like, "Oh I want to live in a nice home. A beautiful car, a white picket fence, a husband and beautiful chidlren; etc" What is so great about white picket fences?

I want to find a short white picket fence to paint a little scenery on it for my son's room but i dont need something very tall. where could i find one?

There are a lot of children in my enighborhood and their parents let them run around everywhere. My yard has taken on a lot of abuse. I want to have a picket fence, but is it legal to have one? i know it has to be 10 ft away from the begining of the grass because that is the governments. people in my neighborhood have gettysburg fences, but it is still a fence. Please help.

We had to replace our white picket fence panels due to insect damage, apparently the previous owner hadn't used treated wood. When we bought the panels we were told to leave them untreated for about a month, then to paint them. While buying exterior paint I read that raw wood needed a primer before painting, but since these were "treated" I'm wondering if we can skip the primer part.
